DIMAPUR, NAGALAND — The arrows are flying, the pressure is mounting, and Nagaland’s best darters are battling it out as the Nagaland Darts Championship 2026 gets underway on August 21 and 22 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.
And this year, the action comes with a new media partnership.
Kik It Live is proud to join hands with the Nagaland Darts Association (NDA) as its media partner, bringing coverage of the championship and the growing darts movement in Nagaland to a wider sporting audience.
The two-day championship features Open Singles, Draw Doubles, Rookie Singles and a series of Special Categories, with a substantial prize pool and plenty of prestige on the line.
The Open Singles champion will take home ₹20,000 along with a trophy, medal and certificate, while the runner-up receives ₹10,000. Joint third-place finishers will receive ₹5,000, with medals and certificates also awarded to the top performers. The Draw Doubles champions will receive ₹10,000, while the runner-up takes ₹6,000.
Adding another layer of excitement is the ₹25,000 Super Special Prize for a nine-dart leg — a reward that could turn an already memorable championship into something truly historic. Special prizes are also on offer for the Most 180s, Best Leg, Best Check-Out, Big Fish and Most Promising Player.
The Road to the Finals
The Open Singles knockout stage has already delivered some fascinating contests.
Top seed Victor Kevilhouthie Yhome began his campaign with a convincing 4–0 victory over Neibei Solo, before facing Vikouvolie Keyho in the quarter-finals.
But it was Imliwapang who emerged from that side of the draw, defeating Vikouvolie Keyho 4–1 before producing an impressive semi-final performance against Yhome.
Imliwapang eventually prevailed 4–1, averaging 64.30 compared to Yhome’s 59.09, booking his place in the championship final.
On the other side of the draw, Kikruneizo Zatsu fought his way through a tense semi-final against Viyohodelie Rame, eventually winning 4–3.
That leaves the Open Singles championship showdown:

The other featured final will see Kevipfhelei take on Thejakhriezo, after Kevipfhelei defeated Niloto Zhimomi 3–0 and Thejakhriezo overcame Temjenyanger Pongen 3–1 in their respective semi-finals.
With the championship running across August 21 and 22, the decisive battles and final moments are still to come.
More Than Just a Tournament
For the Nagaland Darts Association, this championship represents another chapter in a journey that began more than a decade ago.
Founded in 2013 with the motto “Aim for Perfection,” NDA has worked consistently to develop darts across Nagaland — introducing the sport at cafés, schools, sporting venues and community events while helping players progress onto the national and international stage.
That development has produced some remarkable results.
Nagaland darters have recorded podium finishes at national championships, competed in PDC qualifiers and represented the state at major events across India and overseas. The association has also continued its grassroots work through coaching camps and the introduction of darts into educational institutions.
At the 2024 Naga Darts Championship, Victor Yhome claimed the Open Singles title, with Joshua Semou finishing runner-up, while the association’s players also collected honours across the doubles and rookie categories.
And in 2025, the momentum continued. Nagaland players enjoyed strong performances at the BRC Championship, including a winning team-event campaign for Vikehelie Suohu and Kezhaletuo, while the PDC World Cup of Darts India Qualifier saw Limatoshi finish third and Vikehelie sixth among 133 Indian players. Meanwhile, at the First Indian Darts League (IDL) at Tollygunge Kolkata, Limatoshi was part of the Winning Team who hits the winning darts to secure the IDL championship 2025.
Now, as the 2026 championship reaches its defining stage, a new generation of players has the opportunity to add their names to that growing history.
